Miracle Treat Day – Photo Friday

This week’s Photo Friday was made possible by Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day. Not only did 100 per cent of the proceeds of every Blizzard purchased on July 26 go to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the DQ on Edmonton Trail in Airdrie was a great place to hang out and have some fun on Thursday. The long line-up for the drive-through proved the fundraiser would be a great success, but with volunteers and community supporters like Trent Biday of DQ Airdrie, Mike Watkins of UPS, Al Jones of Here’s the Scoop and AdVance Distribution it was sure to be a success.

Children played in the bouncy house provided by Airdrie’s Roxanne West of Royal West Bouncy Castles, while parents got a chance to get a photo of their child with some of Airdrie’s finest in the “bosses” seat of Airdrie’s newest fire truck.

DQ’s Miracle Treat Day was a great time. I look forward to next year and think I may even make some Blizzards myself.
